Gentle doesn’t mean superficial

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE

Myofascial Release uses slow, sustained pressure to address pain and tension throughout the body. The work is gentle, but it can create meaningful change far beyond where you first feel the problem.

The body needs time to respond

WHAT IS MYOFASCIAL RELEASE?

Myofascial Release is a form of bodywork that uses gentle sustained pressure to address pain and tension throughout your body, helping you move with less restriction and experience longer-lasting relief.

Rather than forcing change, I stay with areas of tension and give the body time to respond. The work follows what I feel and how your body responds instead of moving through a predetermined routine.

The goal isn’t to make the body give in.

It’s to give it enough time to change.

WHY PEOPLE SEEK MYOFASCIAL RELEASE

When pain keeps returning, an area never seems to fully settle, or your body feels like it’s always bracing somewhere.

Pain & recurring tension

Restricted movement

When stiffness, pulling, or guarding keeps you from moving comfortably or freely.

When the place that hurts seems to be part of something bigger happening elsewhere in the body.

Patterns that feel connected

Myofascial Release is performed directly on the skin without lotion or oil. I use sustained pressure and stay with areas of tension rather than moving quickly across the body like a traditional massage.

Some areas respond quickly. Others need more time. I adjust the pressure and pace based on what I feel and how your body responds rather than trying to force a change.

Slow. Intentional. Responsive.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Your body doesn’t have to fight the work for the work to be effective.

A few simple things before your appointment

HOW TO PREPARE

Myofascial Release is performed directly on the skin. Please bring appropriate clothing that allows for hands-on contact with your body. It is recommended that women bring athletic or loose fitting shorts and a sports bra or tank top, and men bring athletic or loose fitting shorts.

What to wear

Please avoid applying lotion or oil on the day of your session. Dry skin allows me to maintain the sustained contact used during Myofascial Release.

Before you arrive

Come comfortable. The rest can unfold from there.

Sometimes the place that hurts is only where the story is showing up
