Myofascial Release
Individualized Pain Relief
Myofascial Release is a gentle yet profoundly effective form of hands-on therapy designed to reduce pain, restore movement, and support deep healing. Using slow, sustained pressure, this approach works with your body—never against it—to help unwind areas of tension, restriction, and holding.
Rather than forcing change, Myofascial Release invites the body to soften and open at its own pace. This process allows for long-standing patterns—physical, emotional, or energetic—to shift in a lasting and meaningful way. Sessions are deeply individual and attuned to what your system is ready to release, often bringing relief in places beyond where symptoms first appeared.
How To Prepare
Myofascial Release is done directly on the skin. Please bring appropriate clothing that allows for hands-on contact with your body. It is recommended that women bring athletic or loose fitting shorts and a sports bra or tank top, and men bring athletic or loose fitting shorts. No lotion or oil on the skin the day of your session.
Imagine a full-body web that weaves through you from head to toe. This web is called fascia. It surrounds, connects, and interpenetrates your muscles, bones, nerves, blood vessels, and organs, all the way down to the cellular level. It’s the fabric that holds you together.
When you experience trauma (physical or emotional), surgery (trauma done on purpose), stress, or something overwhelming, that web can tighten and harden. It’s like a snag in a sweater. One small pull in one place can create tension throughout the fabric. Over time, that tension can cause pain, stiffness, or feelings of being “stuck,” even far from where the problem began.
Through the gentle, sustained pressure of Myofascial Release, fascia begins to soften like butter melting, lengthen like taffy stretching, and rehydrate like a dry sponge absorbing water. As it unwinds, the web restores its natural fluidity, and your body remembers how to move and feel free again.
